UTI's
Urinary Tract Infections....UGH!!!
Elise once again has a UTI. This is her 5th one since October. Earlier this month we were at Blank Children's Hospital for a VCG. A vaginal cystourethogram. They did an ultra sound of her kidney's and bladder full then empty. After the ultrasound she had to go have a cathether put in they took a "pure" urine sample then they filled her bladder full of 350 cc's of fluid to take Xrays of how her bladder functions and full and empty. She was a trooper for all those tests and getting a catheter put in. We got those test results back a few weeks ago and everything looked good. Kidney's and bladder ok and no apparent damage to either of the organs. All good news.
Now for the bad news....today we were back at Dr. Stoll's office. I suspect another UTI and mom was right. She has another one. So next week we have an appointment to see a urologist on Tuesday. Hopefully, the urlogist will be able to determine why Miss Elise keeps getting UTI's. Unfortunately, the ped said it could be hereditary and I had this trouble when I was a kid. Through it all she very rarely complains that it hurts. In fact today, she also was tested for strep throat and that test was positive too. Luckily, she's on a sulfa drug to treat both and so far so good no reactions to sulfa based drugs. Ryan is allergic to sufla drugs so I was a bit nervous but all is good. Now we just have to wait for the urologist appointment to determine what's next.
Please keep Miss Elise in your thoughts and prayers, praying it's nothing serious!!
Love to all.

I am sorry to hear that Elise was hit with another UTI; however, if it leads to another comical church commons story...
Seriously though, M3 misses the 3 Yorks!
