Cy's Trivia Contest

On Saturday night, Ryan and I and 3 other fraternity brothers and wives participated in the 2nd Cyclone Trivia Contest. It was held at Hilton Collesium on the floor of the area. The floor was decked out with 4o some tables seating 10. Each team could consist of 8 people then each table was assigned a "celebrity" to join them for each of the rounds. We were joined by the Offensive Coach, the Defensive Coach, the Asst. Track & Field coach, the ISU Women's Volleyball Coach and my favorite CY! Our table became quite popular thanks to Mr. Necker! :-)

Each team selected a name, Josh the Director of Compliance for the Athletic Dept. choose ours "Free Lucca Alumni Club". As we discovered, his girlfriend is a cheerleader and was so proud of our table name. The evening started off with appetizers and free beer, wine, soda & water and pizza at intermission. Then the fun began. There were 8 rounds with 10 questions. "Free Lucca" was in 8th place after 4 rounds. Then a bad round of TV state trivia and kids lit dropped us down to 15th place where we stayed for the rest of the night. We had a great time with the Longneckers, Burroughs and Synders.

In addition to the food and drinks each participant got a T-shirt. Each table had ISU pom-poms and Elise is now the proud new owner of a set.

We all told Josh, count us in for next year. We were table #6, meaning we were the 6th group to sign up. I told Ryan next year our team name should be Pollard's Possi! Only those of us who were there will know why. One word...."RALLY"!!
