Fire on Story Street
It's a sad day in my hometown of Boone, IA today. A fire broke out on main street~ Story Street. It destroyed 2 buildings and apartments and tragically a life was lost.
A friend who still lives in town wrote on his facebook page that downtown Boone will never look the same. As I watched the news casts and looked at the photos I knew he was right.
For those of us that grew up in Boone we shopped on Story Street, went to the movies on Story Street, watched parades on Story Street and scooped-the-loop on Story Street.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all who lost something/someone today in Boone!
