August Fun

WOW - - it's hard to believe August is almost over!! For really not having any plans after RAGBRAI our August sure did fill up fast! A trip to the IA State Fair found Elise's begging to go on rides and giving Clifford a HUGE Hug.











We spent one Saturday up at Lake Panorama at the Stark lakeshouse (fraternity brother of Ryan's) with other fellow Phi Delts and families. It was great to see everyone and nice to have a day on the lake with good friends. Thanks Starks for hosting!











The next weekend found us invited to Lake Ponderosa for another day at the lake. This time our hosts were the Hirch's. Our friends brother & family & his parents all live on Lake Ponderosa. So we enjoyed another day at the lake swimming and boating.

On August 14, Elise participated in a "Let's Go Fishing" program thru the parks and rec and got to go fishing for the first time. She didn't catch any fish but still had a good time.











This weekend we hosted Gabbie for a sleepover and went up to Ames to Hickory Park for dinner w/the Stanzel Families to see Scott and today Ryan finished Elise's EARLY birthday present.










Hard to believe August is almost over. So here's the update since I've been a slacker blogger this month.
