"Baby Bike vs. Big Girl Bike"

Sometime this winter we had new neighbors move into the townhouse to the right of us. They are a family around our age and have a daughter Gabby who is 2 mths older than Elise. Gabby and Elise have become very good friends. Playing outside with each other every chance they get.

The only problem is Gabby has a "big girl bike" and Elise has a "baby bike" according to Elise. Well, Ryan and I had been talking about maybe getting her a new bike. Tonight, sealed the deal that Elise needs a bike. She threw a temper tantrum because Gabby was riding her bike and wouldn't let Elise ride it. Gabby is typically very good about giving and letting Elise ride her bike. However, tonight Gabby clearly didn't want to share her bike and I can't blame her. While I was running an errand is when Elise told Ryan she wanted a "big girl bike" and didn't like her "baby bike". Her "baby" bike was an early birthday present from Grandma Marti. And she liked her "baby bike" until Gabby had a "big girl bike" and she discovered she could ride a "big girl bike".

So you'll have to wait and see if Elise gets a "big girl bike" or not.
